Rakesh is a Partner within the Risk Advisory (RA) practice in Deloitte’s Calgary office. Rakesh leads the IT Assurance practice for the Prairies region, which involves providing support to external audit teams on assessing IT controls as part of the annual financial statement audits. Rakesh also leads the Third Party Assurance practice and has considerable experience in leading scoping, readiness assessments and SOC 1 & 2 Type I & II audits for various organizations.
His experience in auditing IT controls ranges across the various domains and processes under the COBIT framework as well. Rakesh has over 26 years of experience in providing risk-based internal audit, risk assessment, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), financial audit, IT audit, CEO / CFO certification (SOX / C-SOX) and business process review services, with over 21 years of experience in providing risk based internal audit / IT audit and control services.
