InterGen Breakfast Club presents Bolster
The second episode of our #ConstrucTech Breakfast Club series will introduce you to Bolster, an innovative player in construction management software that is transforming the process of purchasing, selling, and overseeing residential construction projects.
Originally founded as CostCertified, the platform was born out of a frustration with outdated estimation processes and a lack of digital solutions. Specifically designed for Home Remodelers and Renovators, Bolsters offers an end-to-end solution from first click to final payment. Envisioned to be a consumer-driven construction marketplace where contractors can give their customers an interactive shopping experience, turning the estimate into a point-of-sale. Bolster's platform even includes tools that allow customer to add real-time upgrades and track the progress of their purchases through interactive estimates.
We can't wait to learn more about the company from Mike Bignold, Co-founder and CEO. After running his own construction business, he saw a need for contractors to provide quotes in a more modern and customer-friendly way. Back in 2021, Bolster broke Alberta records for the highest seed round fundraising after completing Y Combinator - the world’s most exclusive startup incubator program. Others in the industry questioned his vision, fast forward to today, Bolster has had over $1 billion of construction projects sold through the platform, and was named as one of Canada's "Best Startup Employers" in 2024 by Forbes.
Join this bound to be engaging conversation and discover how Bolster has become the ultimate solution for residential construction management.
