Alberta's resident AI expert, Cory Janssen of AltaML, delivered an excellent session on how to navigate all the buzz around AI-powered companies. An exclusive workshop tailored to our community of accredited investors, we delved into the unique opportunity that AI presents in our province and the importance of harnessing it to scale and drive business growth.
Cory shared about the significance of finding the "data edge" and that AI is largely about using data to optimize business processes. With an impending global labor shortage, technology is bound to cover all the gaps. As we transition into the widespread adoption of AI, it will continue to change the way we work and live. Nevertheless, AI continues to present itself as a tool to access new opportunities.
He talked about key investing strategies including performing due diligence for AI/ML companies, early-stage valuations and how angel investors can participate.
