Two ventures supported through InterGen programming, Ultimarii and Scorched Ice, have been selected to participate in the National Angel Capital Organization’s (NACO) 2026 Moonshot Ventures Showcase at this year’s NACO Summit in Ottawa.
InterGen nominated both companies through NACO’s national selection process, which brings together high-potential Canadian ventures identified by leading investor groups, accelerators, and innovation organizations from across the country.
Presented annually at the invitation-only NACO Summit, the Moonshot Ventures Showcase highlights a select group of ventures recognized for their growth potential, innovation, and ability to compete on a national and global stage. Companies are chosen through a competitive evaluation process focused on market opportunity, traction, leadership, and scalability.
Selection for the showcase places Ultimarii and Scorched Ice among a small group of ventures being watched closely by investors, ecosystem leaders, and capital partners from across Canada.
Ultimarii is building AI-powered regulatory intelligence tools designed to help organizations navigate complex approval and compliance processes across industries including energy, utilities, infrastructure, law, and government. The Calgary-based company is focused on accelerating regulatory workflows and improving efficiency for large-scale projects operating in highly regulated environments.
Scorched Ice is developing sensor-based skating intelligence technology that provides objective, real-time performance data directly from hockey skates. Its platform is designed to help coaches and athletes better understand on-ice workload, skating mechanics, player development, and return-to-play decisions.
Both ventures have participated in InterGen programming and reflect the type of founder-led companies the organization aims to support through mentorship, investor access, and ecosystem connections.
“We’re proud to see Ultimarii and Scorched Ice recognized through this year’s Moonshot Showcase, The selection process is highly competitive, and it’s exciting to see two Calgary ventures chosen to present alongside some of the country’s most promising high-growth companies. Both teams are building with real ambition and tackling meaningful industry challenges.” - Sandi Gilbert, InterGen CEO.
