The Boomers are leaving. Gen X-ers are few. Millenials are complicated. Gen Z are stressed. What do we do now?
In a very enlightening workshop by renowned leadership speaker, Ted Bradshaw, we discussed key insights (and very interesting statistics!) on the next generation workforce's values and defining traits . April's PowerPlay delved into various approaches for cultivating strong teamwork and fueling motivation among Gen Z employees, who represent the future leaders of tomorrow.
The workshop emphasized the importance including the people in a company's vision. Providing continuous learning opportunities, fostering purposeful leadership and creating an inclusive work environment where individuality is appreciated are some of they key aspects that can help inspire and engage this new generation.
Participants gained a deeper understanding of the core values and motivations that can be integrated into future business growth strategies. Ted also explained that there's great value in having the right people in the right seats. Effective leadership also means having the ability to discern when to continue coaching someone and when to coach them out.
In an age where meaning is currency, successful companies don't just offer jobs - they offer journeys to purpose.
It is important to always be assessing your people alongside the direction of the company as they are the primary drivers of growth. When you visions are aligned with people, success becomes even more attainable.
Thank you to everyone who made time to attend! Special shoutout to Deloitte for hosting this event.
